KOM finder: New "KOM proximity" filter to narrow to reachable records

The KOM finder already narrows the map to segments worth a shot, by max KOM speed, popularity, length, and surface. But “worth a shot” still depends on you. A new KOM proximity slider closes that gap: it keeps only the segments where your own best time is already within a chosen percentage of the record.

The KOM finder filters showing a 'KOM proximity' slider set to 10% off KOM, with the caption 'Only segments you've ridden within 10% of the KOM time.'
Drag KOM proximity to keep only the records you're already close to.

How it works

  • We compare your best observed time on each segment against its KOM time. Set the slider to, say, 10% off KOM and the list drops everything you haven't ridden within 10% of the record.
  • It only considers segments you've actually ridden, so there's no guessing. Leave it on Any (the top of the slider) to switch it off.
  • The gap badges next to each segment in the list are free for everyone, and free riders can engage the slider at the loosest stop (≤ 50% off KOM). The tighter stops (25%, 15%, 10%, and 5%) are Pro.

The point is time. A tailwind day is precious, so spend it on the KOMs that are genuinely in reach, not the ones you were never going to take.
