## Overview

This page explains how Tailwind KOMpass uses cookies and similar local-storage technologies. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and our analytics is cookieless, which is why you will not see a cookie consent banner on this site. The storage we do use is limited to what is strictly necessary for the app to function, as described below.

## Strictly necessary

These are required for the site to function and cannot be turned off. They do not store personally identifiable information.

- **Supabase auth session**: keeps you signed in (anonymous or via Strava).
- **App preferences**: map style, units (metric/imperial), segment filters, rider FTP/weight. Stored in `localStorage`.

## Analytics (cookieless)

- **DataFast**: aggregate, privacy-friendly usage statistics. DataFast is cookieless: it sets no cookies and stores no identifiers on your device, so no consent banner is required. You can still block it with a content blocker if you prefer.

## Third-party services

The Service connects to third-party providers that may set their own cookies on their own domains:

- **Strava**: OAuth sign-in ([cookie policy](https://www.strava.com/legal/cookies)).
- **Polar.sh**: checkout and billing portal.
- **MapTiler**: map tiles and weather data.
- **Supabase**: backend infrastructure.
- **Google Fonts**: the site’s typefaces are loaded from Google’s font servers, which receive your IP address with the request.

## Your choices

You can clear the app’s stored preferences at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for this domain, and you can block analytics requests with a browser content blocker. Neither affects your ability to use the site.
