By accessing or using Tailwind KOMpass (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Tailwind KOMpass helps cyclists identify Strava segments with favourable wind conditions. It overlays third-party wind data on an interactive map and provides analysis tools. The Service is provided “as is” and is intended for recreational use only. Wind data, segment information, KOM/PR feasibility estimates, and any other output are informational and may be inaccurate or incomplete.
The Service uses Strava’s API and is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by Strava. Use of Strava data is subject to Strava’s API Agreement and Terms of Service. Wind data is provided by third-party weather services. Maps are provided by MapTiler.
You may sign in via Strava OAuth. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your Strava credentials secure. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service, attempt to circumvent rate limits, or violate Strava’s terms.
Paid features are sold via Polar.sh. Prices are shown at checkout and are inclusive of applicable taxes where required. All sales are final and refunds are not offered except where required by law (see our Refund Policy).
You agree not to:
Cycling carries inherent risks. You are solely responsible for your safety, compliance with traffic laws, and decisions about when, where, and how to ride. Wind forecasts and segment scores are estimates. Never rely on them as a substitute for your own judgement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tailwind KOMpass and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page; continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are not affected.
